Visit to the UP

Camping in the south...

...is a lot different than camping in the north!

After much pulling, tugging and flipping thankfully they managed to get this gator back into the water. I would call that success!

For about a month I have been watching this plant change from something resembling a dying bunch of weeds into this gorgeous flower. All it needed was a little love for it to bloom and grow into something magnificent. Never underestimate the power of love for even just a little can change anything into being extraordinary.

Enjoying The Outdoors

Life has been very busy around here lately. We have been enjoying the milder weather spending more time outside biking, walking and playing at the park and in the back yard.This week we are hosting playgroup so Olisa and I have been busy planning crafts and treats to make. She always has such great ideas! We also started talking about halloween costumes and tossing some ideas around.

Ayla is crawling and pulling up on anything she can grab. She is such a little explorer and most days she needs to be rescued from a predicament too many times to count. She love to be outside no matter what we are doing. She likes to crawl around in the grass (and try to eat it), swing on the swings, go for a ride in her stroller or just in her stroller while we work on the yard.

Olisa is growing up so fast. Just last night when I was weeding the front flower bed she saw some of the neighborhood kids playing nearby and walked over to say hi and talk to them all by herself! When she sees any kids outside she will go and talk to them-she is making friends and it is so amazing to watch her new found confidence and independence. She is amazing!

Life is really wonderful and I feel so blessed to have meet some truly amazing and inspiring individuals here in Texas who I call my friends. I feel God's guiding hand upon my shoulder leading me on the pathway He has already chosen - I feel such Joy! For I know this is where I should be and the people who have come into my life have not only showed me love and understanding but much more. As for those who have left my life for reasons know or unknown I can only hope and pray they have peace in their life and the love of God in their Heart.

I love all these pictures so much and the last one really shows Ayla's love and trust for her big sister. (Olisa was lovingly combing Ayla's hair and talking to her telling her how much she loves her.) Such a wonderful display of God's love in our life.
