We celebrated Ayla's 1st birthday in Galveston this past weekend and had a wonderful time. She enjoyed cake and ice cream and presents.
While shelling one day I was lucky enough to see some beautiful dolphins splashing in the water. It was a real treat to be able to stand there and watch them for awhile.
This guy was hiding in one of my shells I picked for my collection and after bringing it back to the beach house he decided to peek out and surprise us.
Life sure is full of wonderful surprises and blessings beyond measure. I hope you take time out of your busy day to look and listen to the beauty around you.

These were taken last weekend in Galveston.
This year Olisa and I made some new ornaments for our tree and this beach inspired one was my favorite.
These traditional cinnamon ornaments are always fun to make and they smell wonderful.
Olisa on Christmas morning. She had the biggest smile and was just so happy and excited about everything.
We made these ones to remind Olisa of snowy days.
I finally got around to making my own shabby chic tree skirt which was inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine many years ago. I love how it turned out!
